4th of July

The bikes, read further down to see more about them. These bikes really are the coolest bikes ever. Each of the 5 kids get a bike as they get old enough to ride.
It started out innocently with Allan and Taylin just getting a drink in the sprinklers.
Then they started getting a little bit closer to the water. The water just kept coming.
Eventually, they were running through the water. It was fun until Allan got "stuck" in the water and was not sure how to get out. He stood their paralyzed as the water continued to slap him in the face. All he could do was say, "Momma, Momma". It was hilarious.

My swim team, The Cordova Blue Marlins, was in the annual Rancho Cordova Hometown Parade. I have been looking forward to the day we would take this picture. The Cuevas family on my swim team showed up to our first swim meet with the most amazing bikes ever. Their father remodels and rebuilds these bikes. The one bike even has a solar powered sound system. I have been asking them if we could take an official coaches picture. Here it is with: Kevin, Rebekah, Logan, Liz, and Me. They let me ride their mom's bike in the parade. We waited about 1 and 1/2 hours before the parade started. I probably should have tried to ride the bike during this down time, but I thought I could handle it. Boy, was I wrong! I looked like an idiot as I tried not to run over any kids. Overall, a really fun parade. The music from the bike made a huge difference.
