So quite a weekend. Here is a lovely picture of our return trip. (Yes, my pictures are backwards in order). We really had no intention going to the ocean, but when the Grapevine was closed we were forced to go around. Yes, that added a little bit of time onto our trip.

Well, the traffic was soooo bad that I have time to take a picture as I was driving. It ended up taking us 12 HOURS to get home!!! I really should have loved this view, but it is not fun going 5 miles per hour.

Well, here it is another famous person. That is three for the year so far. Pierce Brosnan, Eric Estrada, and now Hank Azaria. We went to Sprinkles, a cupcake store and one of Oprah's favorite things, in Beverly Hills. John asks me if I think Hank Azaria is standing behind me. I tell him I have no idea who he is talking about. But, I do now. He was in Friends, Mad About You, and the voice of a few characters on the Simpsons. Well, he was on his phone the whole time and then he ordered a dozen cupcakes. What a day! This picture was purely taken to get Hank in my picture.

Yep, we decided at the last minute to go to DISNEYLAND!!! The original plan of camping was rained out, so we headed down to Anaheim. We got me, John, Dustin, Loren, and Lindsey.

John, Dustin, Loren, and Lindsay. Oh the good times. We had great weather on Saturday!

This is Dustin's afternoon nap on the floor waiting for the Crush Turtle Show. So funny, but I really am jealous that I am not sleeping. The show was truly the coolest thing ever.

Loren and I totally took this for the team. Well, Loren really took it for the team. Usually in LA, the water rides would be such good relief but definitely not this day. IT WAS FREEZING! We could not wait to go on the Toad ride where you go to hell. It was so hot there. I usually ride this with my poncho. I sure have learned my lesson.

Yes, that is Dustin putting his socks on in the middle of the ride. Yes, if that does not make sense to you then I totally understand. What if those socks fell into the water? Oh man, that kid kept me laughing.
We had a great weekend. I got to see my cousin Jacob and his family on Sunday. Disneyland was crazy on Saturday, but we still got to ride everything we wanted (thanks to some fast passes). I loved CA adventures with Tower of Terror, Screamin', and Soarin'. It was great. I truly did love the fireworks. I have never seen the show and I was extremely impressed. On Monday, I woke up early and went by myself to Disneyland in the pouring rain. I went on 7 rides in a little over 1 hour and then walked back to the Hotel. I am now an annual pass holder with the lanyard and everything (big step in my life). I did not wait in a line at all. It was AWESOME! Good times with good friends.

That looks like so much fun! Except the Grapevine being closed and all :) The last time I drove home from Cali it took me 12 hours just to get to magic mountain! Needless to say se had to stop and get a hotel, the kids weren't having it! I might be coming out there next week, I'll let you know when I figure it out!
