Camping with some friends. I got two campsites at Henry Cowell in Santa Cruz way back in February. At the last minute, we pulled together a trip. We had a great time at the boardwalk (6 miles away), redwood trees, hikes, ocean, church, and food. I had a meeting on Saturday in Sacramento with a few members of the State Wide Committee for the YSA Conference, so I drove all the way back to Sacramento. It was well worth going to the meeting and then to come back to the campsite. We made almost all the main meals with my dutch oven. We had taco soup, funeral potatoes, and chili and cornbread all from the dutch oven. It is my new favorite camping item. Overall, it was so nice to get away from everything.
Here is my swim team on the 4th of July. We had quite a few people. It was a great parade after an even better pancake breakfast at the church.
Taylin and Allan at six flags. I had to use my season pass and enjoy a day at Six Flags with my sisters and their kids. Briley, afraid of everything (even whip cream in a can), wanted nothing to do with this friendly cat.
My friend Jenn Dunn married Chad Evans on June 27th. It was a beatiful sealing in the Sacramento Temple. My friends and I made the cupcakes for the reception and had a blast doing it. The reception was gorgeous up in Shingle Springs (on Keith Merrill's property...director of The Legacy and Testaments) with lights and candles. Just a beautiful event with a happy bride and groom.
Well, life has been busy but good. I am getting so excited for the State YSA Conference. This is a huge untaking and I am learning so much about church organization during this process. Next up, Swim Championships, Disneyland, Girls' Camp, my birthday, and then the conference! Life is good.

Wow, that was so weird for me to look at your blog and see a picture of Chad Evans. He's the same age as one of my brothers, I forget which one. We grew up with their family :) Small world! Your camping trip to santa cruz makes me so jealous :) I miss Santa Cruz!
You are always busy, and having fun. After your conference we should get together:)
