CA Statewide YSA Conference

It is over! The conference took up months of my life. I was asked to be the Female YSA representative on May 17th. We only had 12 weeks to plan the Sacramento venues. We were not sure the number of YSA we would get as we began planning. We ended up having over 1,600 register and about 1,500 actually come. The conference was a huge success. The conference took place in 7 areas throughout the state. Each conference was centered around the 7 temples in CA. We worked with Stake Presidents and leaders from 23 stakes in this area. It was truly a learning experience. We had Saturday: workshops, speed dating, food, activities, humanitarian project, and a dance. Sunday: Sacrament Meeting, Relief Society/Priesthood, and a fireside. Logistically, this was a huge undertaking. The state committee gave us a 59 page logistics guide a month unto planning and they came to train us. After about 1,ooo emails, it all turned out so well. So many leaders and volunteers truly helped put on the conference. Throughout the state of CA, the goal was to perform 10,000 temple ordinances in 12 weeks. We were able to complete 75,000 throughout the state of CA. We finished 1,000 quilts for the needy and contacted the less active YSA. It was quite successful. I had so much fun.
